Sterilization pouches serve as a critical packaging solution for sterilization applications, ensuring the protection of medical devices against contamination from bacteria and chemicals from the point of sterilization until the moment of use. Our wide range of standard sizes allows for the optimum choice of a correctly sized pack for every specific item.
These sterilization pouches are constructed using transparent PET/PP multi-layer copolymer film and medical-grade kraft paper. Process indicators for both Steam and Ethylene Oxide (EO) sterilization are printed on the paper surface, providing a clear visual differentiation between processed and unprocessed packages.
All process indicators utilize water-based, non-toxic inks that meet or exceed ISO 11140-1 standards, ensuring accurate and distinct color changes after the sterilization process. Our manufacturing process follows EN ISO 11607 requirements, with full process validation conducted for all equipment and machines used.
To ensure a proper airtight seal, the adhesive should adhere 50% on the paper and 50% on the plastic. We recommend filling the pouch to approximately 3/4 capacity to avoid overstuffing or piercing. Expel as much air as possible before sealing at the perforated line.
